The Challenge
Our client is a robotics and artificial intelligence gaming startup that integrates state-of-the-art robotics technology into consumer products designed to be adaptable and intuitive in the physical world. One of their popular products is a mobile game that combines their physical robotic devices with an iOS/Android application, enabling cross-platform online play against real humans or artificially intelligent characters.
Our client sought a testing service provider with industry experience to conduct localization testing for their product. The product is a complex game comprising hardware and software components, with two distinct sections for testing: the client’s e-commerce website and their mobile gaming application.
The Solution
The LogiGear team assembled a comprehensive localization quality assurance testing solution to ensure our client’s website and application performed as required in English, French, and Spanish. The company conducted localized UI and content testing, functional testing, and voice output testing for the mobile gaming application.
LogiGear also validated the translation of website and application content using tools such as Google Translate, text-compare.com, and VPNs to perform GeoIP Testing. This testing ensured that the website would load in the appropriate language based on the user’s IP location.
The Result
- All localization testing requirements were fulfilled.
- Any critical localization issues were promptly identified and resolved.
- Significant reduction in localization testing time.
- The app has garnered over 5 million downloads from Google Play.
